It's no secret that I'm a Devil-Z fan, since my first post about the 2011 Devil-Z Treasure Hunt I'm still on the look for my holy grail, the $uper Treasure Hunt.

I almost giving up searching due to the market price keep raising, but luckily a few days ago I found one on the net, its in loose condition but still in mint-like condition. The price was good, it was something that I could not pass by.

Hot Wheels Wolfman Volkswagen T1 Panel Bus Universal (Monsters Nostalgia Series 2013)

The story about Wolf-Man or Werewolf appears since the early folklore. Hollywood then bring this iconic monster figure to the movie screen in 1941 Universal horror classic “The Wolf Man”.

I my self a huge Wolf-Man or Werewolf movie fan, so when I knew Hot Wheels were releasing his Wolfman Volkswagen T1 Panel Bus Universal from Monsters Nostalgia Series, I MUST get my hand on one. And its a BEAUTY !!! The art work on the card + the detailed tampo simply amazing. I do recommend that you guys should definitely find one fast while its still full moon outside...

Mine was the non tampo version and also anothe non-hologram version.. again I assume this happen to be the same with my previous Convention Car the Olds 442

.

2006 Convention Charity Car: Olds 442

The 2006 Annual Hot Wheels Convention was held in Atalanta, Georgia from March 29th - April 2nd. Mattel issued several event cars such as

2006 Nationals: '63 Split Window, '68 Nova, '50 Buick Woodie and W-Oozie
2006 Nationals Ticket Car: '56 Flashrider
2006 Nationals Dinner Car: The Demon
2006 Convention Charity Car: Olds 442
2006 HWC Convention Car: Purple Passion
2006 HWC Real Riders Convention Car: Bone Shaker

All of the cars were produced in limited numbers. you should be able to see their number of production in the special hologram behind the card (mine was not numbered). The reason it was not numbered I assume that this is a production surplus which is supposed to be scraped after they hit the number (supposed to be limited to 3000 cars released) in some way the car manage to escape from the death row and find its way to the open market

The car come with this spesification:
Gold Chrome Spectraflame with Black Interior
Dual Black Stripes on Sides of Hood with '442' in Black on Hood.
Clear Windows.
Black Rear Spoiler.
Chrome Deep Dish Centerline Wheels with Real Riders Rubber BW Tires.
Chrome Front Grill, Both Bumpers and Base

Hot Wheels Retro Entertainment Series - Assortment A

Just got my Assortment A - HW Retro Entertainment Series (Minus the '32 Ford). To be honest I'm a little bit disappointed, especially with the Classic Batman and Ecto-1 which is nothing more than an slightly upgraded version of the regular mainline. Just change the wheels with a Real Riders wheels and add more details and walla'.. there you have it.. a premium HW collectibles for adult collector...

While The Mystery Machine and K.I.T.T were more captivating, using the similar wheels as the SDCC 2012 Exclusive Hot Wheels only without the SDCC presentation box (Googled: SDCC K.I.T.T and Mystery Machine). Now I cant wait for the next assortment to hit the market, I have my eyes on Smokey' 77 Pontiac Firebird, A Team Van, Miami Vice's Ferrari F512 and last but not least Smokey's Kenworth W900 whohooo !!

See my previous post for a full Assortment list

Here a comparison between the Retro version vs the Regular Mainline

My growing Datsun 510 Collection

Its been a while since i post here, some of you might remember my early post back in 2011 about HW Datsun 510 Bluebird (Hot Wheels 1:64 Datsun 510 "Bluebird") well in time I manage to collect more of this beautiful Bluebird

510 info
Since its firs appearance back in 2009 its always been a collectors favorite. The price are raising high faster than ever. The 2009 set are consist of 3 color variants: Blue, Brown and Black. The black 510 is only available in the US market and in Gift Pack if i'm not mistaken. Whats why it is more rare than the other two, luckily I manage to find one even thou not in a min in blister condition. But the price are just right and I couldn't possibly pass it out.

2009 Set
Then came the 2010 set, consist of two color variants: White and Yellow. The 2010 came with a more aggressive tampo rather than the 2009 vintage racing look.

2010 Set
In 2011 Hot Wheels decided not to include the 510 into their mainline, but they release the fenomenal HW Vintage Racing - John Morton's BRE Datsun Bluebird 510 which was an instant sell out!! Its harder to find one than a TH$, even the BRE Racing web store already sell out (www.bre2.net) the only way to find one is from ebay or the collectors store and it wont come cheap.

John Morton's BRE Datsun Bluebird 510
In 2012 Hot Wheels include the 510 in the mainline but it was highly criticized due to the FTE2 wheels design. But still a gem to collect

2012 Set
Hopefully HW and Jun Imai already have another design prepared, cant wait to add my 510 sedan collection

Reminiscing my first ever TH$ find

Found it at the pegs of Metro Dept. Store - Plaza Senayan, Jakarta back in my college days (2002) it only costed me Rp.14.900 (around US$1.50) - the retail price here in Indonesia nowdays is around Rp.20.000 to Rp.24.900 (US$2.00 - 2.50). Still manage to keep it in its original condition including the price tag sticker.

2002 Treasure Hunt$ 4/12 Lotus Project M250 - Collectors #004

This Lotus Project M250 may not be a collector's favorite but for me it has a sentimental value.. you might pick one up for around $5.00 on ebay or amazon these days, but for me as the first ever TH$ I owned this one is priceless !!

Kaskus Hot Wheels Lover 2011 Official Club Car

Only 30 were made and distributed internally, 2 of them use rubber tires and was drawn for who's lucky enough to have one

Using the 2011 HW New Model: A Team Van, the tampo was designed by Dyt Duveau and custom paint job by Koleksi Senna. The production of this car were also supported by Ical Toys

It also comes with a limited matching T Shirt, very cool !!

Hot Wheels Track: 2-Lane V-Drop

Yesterday my 2-Lane V-Drop (2LVD) track finally arrived, I was so ecstatic! This is my first HW Track, I've looking for this track for months.. I wanted to have a 2-Lane drag track so I can play with my whole family, having a mini drag race competition with my son & nephews (even my wife seems to be interested!!).

Lots of parts !!

Crack'up these bad boys for my first track test - lots of FUN is on the way !!

(L-R) Custom F-100, Dodge Charger - Chevy Tahoe
Finally manage to assemble it and hang it on a door just like it was meant to, don't know but the cars keep falling off (or to be exact flying off) the track. Especially on the 90 degree drop just after the cars were lifted to the starting ramp.

So I pick up some of my nephew's tracks and assemble it with the ones from the 2LVD and make it a 5m drag strip !! Whoohoo

Using my old sit up bench as the ramp base, and a used cardboard box as the stopping pit so it won't damages the car's axles
Stopping pit
My 20 Months old baby boy having a Blast !!
We're having a BLAST !! Planned to invite some of the neighbor for a mini race competition, but first I must get my hand on some fast cars like.......*cough* Gov *cough* 'Ner !!

1995 Flintmobile vs 2013 Flintmobile

Here's a head to head comparison for the 1995 & 2013 Flintmobile

I wouldn't say the 2013 is a remake version of the 1995, because its a different car after-all

The 1995 is a longer version or should I say the "sedan" version of the Flintmobile which has 4 seats, while the 2013 is the "roadster" which only have to 2 seats

Both car has been seen in the film used by Fred (and Barney) and their whole family

2 Seated version
4 seated version
In my account the 1995 car has slightly won this battle, it has more details and accurate type of wheels. Unlike the 2013 which uses small wheels under the rolling rock wheels. But the 2013 got the correct lower frame, a Y shaped log with a straight base. The 1995 shouldn't have a 2nd pillar to withstand the roof.
