A devastating news, Paul Walker the main character (Brian O'Connor) on the hit movie saga Fast and Furious has just passed away due to a tragic car accident. As a Fast and Furious long time fan I would like to send my sincerest condolences & prayers are with his entire family.

What inspired The Collectionary into existence?

The Collectionary was created because we wanted to create a Dictionary of everything in the world that people collect.   There are hundreds of e-commerce sites, but there is no dedicated place where you can learn about different items.  Whether it's the history, facts, or unique attributes regarding a particular collectible or item, we want to give people a place to learn about the collectibles they love.   

What made you coin it The Collectionary? 

Collectionary comes from combining the words Collection and Dictionary.  A fun play on words that explains what we are working on with our site and brand. 

Why is your site devoted solely to Hot Wheels?

No, the Hot Wheels Collectionary is one out of hundreds of different Collectionaries to join.  We have expert collectors we call moderators that help us with each Collectionary to add new and cool items to the site.  In fact, we would love to have more Hot Wheels moderators willing to help out :).

What's the takeaway for potential customers? What can they hope to gain from perusing your site?

We hope anyone checking out our site will enjoy looking at all the amazing collectibles ever created.  Looking at the older, nostalgic items we want them to bring back many fond memories as a child or another time in your life.  We also want people to learn about Collectibles as we point to where those items are for sale anywhere on the internet. 

Anything unusual worth noting about your site? Hot Wheels?

Preview: Hot Wheels Datsun Bluebird 510 BRE Red Line Club (RLC) Exclusive

One of the most highly anticipated item this year, the Datsun Bluebird 510 BRE Red Line Club (RLC) Exclusive. Only 3000 will be produced and only can be obtain exclusively from the RLC webstore, the car will be going through a new chrome paint process to be paired with red spectraflame paint.

I personally doubt my self will ever manage to get one hiks hiks :( :(

Holy Grail: HW $uper Treasure Hunt 2011 Datsun 240z

It's no secret that I'm a Devil-Z fan, since my first post about the 2011 Devil-Z Treasure Hunt I'm still on the look for my holy grail, the $uper Treasure Hunt.

I almost giving up searching due to the market price keep raising, but luckily a few days ago I found one on the net, its in loose condition but still in mint-like condition. The price was good, it was something that I could not pass by.

Hot Wheels Wolfman Volkswagen T1 Panel Bus Universal (Monsters Nostalgia Series 2013)

The story about Wolf-Man or Werewolf appears since the early folklore. Hollywood then bring this iconic monster figure to the movie screen in 1941 Universal horror classic “The Wolf Man”.

I my self a huge Wolf-Man or Werewolf movie fan, so when I knew Hot Wheels were releasing his Wolfman Volkswagen T1 Panel Bus Universal from Monsters Nostalgia Series, I MUST get my hand on one. And its a BEAUTY !!! The art work on the card + the detailed tampo simply amazing. I do recommend that you guys should definitely find one fast while its still full moon outside...

Madworks Kustoms' John Morton BRE Datsun 240z (Dirty version / Chase Car)

Ever since the HW Vintage Racing John Morton's Datsun 510 BRE being released in 2011 it become an instant collector's favorite. I my self have to wait for 2 years to get one.

John Morton was a legendary SCCA (Sports Car Club of America) racer, which he won SCCA C Production with the 240Z (National Championships in 1970-71) and the 2.5 Trans-Am with the 510 (Championships in 1971-72).

In 2011 Hot Wheels released their Vintage Racing lineup, which one of the is Morton's Datsun 510 in honor of his achievement.

Hot Wheels never made the 240z (also known as the Devil-Z) version but I was lucky enough to find one. This is a custom art work by Mr. Hadi Rochmansyah of Madwork Kustom Diecast. I was a very well detailed custom, the car it self use the 2013 HW Showroom - Asphalt Assault regular mainline.

To be honest this is one of the best custom diecast I ever had.. Well built, highly detailed paint job and also well presented. This is a 1 of 1 car from a 4 variants 240z. (2 John Morton's and 2 John McComb's).

Todays Haul: Datsun Bluebird 510 (Black)

Finally got this black beauty in the blister, got it for a real bargain price.. the seller was kind enough to offer me 2 of these and made me an offer I cannot refuse

This is a black version of the 2009 Datsun Bluebird 510 by Jun Imai, the others were the blue and the brown one. This black version only available in the US market, not available here in the Indonesia / International market. Thats why it has a high market value here in Asia.

2006 Hot Wheels Japan Convention Custom Car Show: Mighty Mavericks

Here's another of my collection Hot Wheels' Mighty Mavericks from Japan Convention Custom Car Show in Osaka Japan - November 18, 2006

There are two version of this car, one with Japan Convention Custom Car Show tampo on top and one without the tampo

The tampo version is the one that you can obtain from the event directly The one with the logo sold at the fifth official Hot Wheels® Custom Car Show, the non-tampo version is being sold on HotWheelsCollector.com

The one with the tampo is produced up to 1000, while thw non tampo is produced up to 2000 cars
